About Arizona
Arizona Beverage Company was founded in 1992 by Brooklyn beer distributors Don Vultaggio and John Ferolito, who launched into a market dominated by Snapple with a deliberately low-priced positioning. The brand became famous for its 23.5oz tall-can format and the 99-cent price point, which Arizona maintained from launch through to today despite massive inflation in the wider beverage market (the company has stated it would rather take lower margins than break the 99-cent positioning that defines the brand). The Southwestern desert artwork on the cans was inspired by the founders' visits to Arizona and remains the brand's most-recognised visual element. Arizona remains family-owned and independent, unusual for an American beverage brand of this scale.

Ingredients and allergens
Arizona ingredients vary significantly by flavour. The iced teas (Green Tea with Honey, Half & Half) contain water, sugar, citric acid, tea, honey and natural flavours. The fruit drinks (Mucho Mango, Strawberry Lemonade) contain water, high fructose corn syrup, juice from concentrate, citric acid, natural flavours, and sometimes synthetic colours (Red 40 in some berry variants). Most variants are vegan-suitable, with the exception of those containing real honey (Green Tea with Honey is not vegan). Caffeine content varies: the teas contain caffeine (around 15mg per 240ml serving), the fruit drinks are typically caffeine-free. Not formally halal certified across the range. Always check the back of each individual can for the specific ingredients, dietary status and caffeine content.
Who Arizona imports are for
Arizona Mucho Mango fans: the Mucho Mango is one of the most-recognised American beverage cultural objects, with cult-level UK awareness through American TV, music videos and TikTok. Most UK supermarkets do not stock it (Tesco and Asda carry only a handful of Arizona variants, intermittently).
Caffeine-light drink seekers: the fruit drink variants are caffeine-free, making Arizona a useful option in the imported drinks range for shoppers who actively want to avoid the caffeine in Monster, Red Bull or Dr Pepper.
Pick-and-mix American drinks builders: the 695ml tall-can format is distinctive and visually striking, working as a centrepiece in American hamper builds. Pair with our Fanta imports and Dr Pepper ranges for full American drinks selections.
Iced tea drinkers: the Green Tea with Honey and Half & Half variants serve genuine iced-tea drinkers, a category UK supermarkets cover only thinly. Arizona iced teas have a meaningfully different taste profile to UK Lipton or Twinings iced teas.

Arizona iced tea: frequently asked questions
Why is Arizona iced tea so cheap in America?
Arizona has famously maintained the 99-cent price point on the 23.5oz tall can since launch in 1992. Founder Don Vultaggio has stated publicly that the 99-cent price is a brand promise rather than a margin calculation: Arizona takes lower margins, finds savings in supply chain efficiency, and has even printed the 99-cent price directly on the can to prevent retailers from charging more. In the UK and EU, the imported retail price reflects shipping, customs and a smaller distribution scale rather than the US in-store price.
Is Arizona Mucho Mango actually mango juice?
Arizona Mucho Mango is a fruit drink rather than a juice. The recipe contains water, high fructose corn syrup, mango puree, citric acid, natural flavours and small amounts of pear juice from concentrate. It is sweetened and flavoured to deliver the mango taste, but contains less actual mango than a "100% juice" product. The sweet, dessert-like profile is part of the brand's appeal rather than a pure-juice positioning.
Does Arizona iced tea contain caffeine?
Yes, the iced tea variants do. Green Tea with Honey and Half & Half (Lemonade Iced Tea) contain around 15mg of caffeine per 240ml serving, lower than coffee or cola. The Arizona fruit drink variants like Mucho Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, Rizzler Berry and Watermelon are typically caffeine-free since they're fruit drinks rather than tea-based.
Is Arizona Green Tea vegan?
Arizona Green Tea with Honey is not vegan because it contains real honey as a sweetener. Most of the fruit drink variants (Mucho Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, Watermelon, Rizzler Berry) are vegan-suitable. Always check the back of each individual can since some berry and tropical variants contain ingredients that may not be vegan-certified.
