About Proper
Proper is the UK's largest B Corp-certified snacking company, founded in 2011 by Cassandra Stavrou MBE and Ryan Kohn. The brand started as Propercorn making popcorn out of a refashioned cement mixer in Stavrou's mother's house, secured Google's London HQ café as first customer, and now sells more than five million bags per month. The brand rebranded as PROPER in 2019 to support the launch of Properchips, the lentil-chip alternative to crisps.

Ingredients and allergens
Propercorn is made from whole-grain corn kernels, sunflower oil, sugar, salt and natural flavourings depending on the variant. Properchips is made from lentils, peas, rice flour, sunflower oil and natural seasonings. The Smooth Peanut & Almond Propercorn contains nuts. Most Proper products are vegetarian, gluten-free and high-fibre as core formulation. Properchips delivers around 4g of protein per 22g serving from the lentil base. Always check the back of the specific pack for vegan, allergen and ingredient confirmation since some variants contain dairy or nuts.

Propercorn is the brand's original air-popped popcorn line, sold in 90g bags across sweet and savoury flavours. Who founded Proper?
Proper was founded in 2011 by Cassandra Stavrou MBE and Ryan Kohn, originally as Propercorn. Stavrou started experimenting with flavoured popcorn in her mother's house using a refashioned cement mixer, after noticing the mid-afternoon snack slump while working in advertising. She partnered with Kohn, a family friend, with early mentorship from Innocent Drinks co-founder Richard Reed. The brand rebranded as PROPER in 2019.
